How many wedding dresses can I choose from in your showroom?

We have over 1,000 wedding dresses, and they hang physically in the shop, not in a catalogue. Sizes run from about 34 to 74, and they hang mixed together, so you can browse the whole shop. Because we have one piece of each model, the selection changes all the time. Use the Book prøvning button, and we will pull out dresses in your size before you arrive. Where is your wedding dress showroom, and how long does it take to get there from Copenhagen?

The showroom is in Hvidovre, about fifteen minutes from central Copenhagen, and from Malmö the journey takes around 35 minutes over the bridge. We see visitors by appointment, so you have the shop to yourself while you try on. Book a time with the Book a fitting button, and the wedding dresses will be hanging ready when you arrive. What is the difference between your three brands, and where should I start when looking for a wedding dress?

Budget Dreams by Brudekjoleoutlet is the outlet, with over 1,000 dresses in stock, prices from DKK 1,000 and one piece of each model. Bridalstore.dk has gala, party and wedding dresses with a wider range of accessories. EnkleBrudekjoler.dk is minimalist and Scandinavian and also offers dress rental. Can I try on wedding dresses from all three concepts in the same showroom in Hvidovre?

Budget Dreams by Brudekjoleoutlet welcomes you in the showroom in Hvidovre, and that is where you try the dresses from this site. If you have seen a specific dress at one of the sister concepts, Bridalstore.dk or EnkleBrudekjoler.dk, send us the model number before you come. Can I see the prices on the wedding dresses as I walk around the showroom?

Yes, the prices are on the wedding dresses, so you can browse the rails without asking about each one. We do not hide the price to get you to try a dress you cannot afford. Which payment methods do you accept when I buy my wedding dress in the shop?

Ask about payment options when you book your fitting, so you know before you are standing with the wedding dress in your hands. We say things straight and do not add fees on top of the price. If you have a gift card or a credit note, it can be used on the dress, the accessories or the seamstress's work. If you would like it settled in advance, write to us via the contact page.

Will I get a receipt for my wedding dress that I can use if I need to make a complaint?

Yes, you get a receipt with your purchase, and you should keep it. Under Danish consumer law you have a two-year right to complain about defects that were there from the start, and the receipt shows when you bought the wedding dress. If anything is agreed beyond the purchase itself, for example that a dress is held for you or altered, you get it in writing. Read more in our FAQ on safety and trust.

Can the wedding dress fitting be held in English, German or Swedish?

The fitting can be held in English without any problem, and we understand Swedish and Norwegian. Write in your booking which language you would prefer to speak, and it will be arranged before you arrive. If you are coming from far away, feel free to bring someone who can translate the practical arrangements about alterations, so no details about the wedding gown get lost. What should I do if I have to cancel my wedding dress fitting?

Let us know as soon as you know you have to cancel. The time is reserved for you alone, and another bride could have used it to try on wedding dresses, so cancelling in good time means a lot. We will find you a new time straight away, and there are no fees for cancelling or moving your appointment. Write to us via the contact page, and we will take care of the rest.

What happens if I am late for my wedding dress appointment?

Let us know as soon as you know you will be late, and we will keep the wedding dresses out and see how much of the time we can manage. If you arrive half an hour late, we may have to shorten the fitting, because another bride may be coming after you. Traffic around Copenhagen can be unpredictable, so allow an extra quarter of an hour for the journey. Find directions and contact details on the contact page.

Can I bring a wedding dress from home and have your tailor assess it?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a wedding dress you bought elsewhere, inherited or found second-hand, and our tailor will tell you what can be done and what it costs. She looks at seam allowances, lace and whether the fabric will hold. Mention it when you book, so time is set aside for it, and bring your shoes if the length needs assessing. Can we bring bubbly to the wedding dress fitting?

We are happy to arrange that, so ask when you book. One thing is certain: if anything comes along, it is kept away from the dresses, because a drop of red wine or fizzy drink on a white wedding dress will not come out again. Can I bring my dog when I come to try on wedding dresses?

Ask us before you come, so we can say yes or no in advance rather than at the door. We have over 1,000 wedding dresses in light fabrics that hang down to the floor, and they are what the consideration is about. If the answer is no, the dog can come along for the trip and wait in the car with someone you bring, if the weather allows. Write to us via the contact page.

Is there a toilet in the showroom, so I can go before I try on wedding dresses?

Yes, there is a toilet in the showroom. Let us know if you need it before you put on a wedding dress, because that is much easier than getting out of a laced dress in the middle of the fitting. If you bring a child, it is also good to know where it is. If you need to pump or breastfeed, mention it when you book, and we will find a quiet spot. Read more in our FAQ on fittings.

Is there seating for the people I bring to the wedding dress fitting?

Yes, there is seating in front of the mirror, so the people you bring can see the wedding dress from the same angle as you. Write in your booking how many of you there will be, and there will be enough chairs. Two or three guests is what works best. Do you have full-length mirrors and daylight, so I can see the true colour of the wedding dress?

Yes, we have full-length mirrors and daylight, and the daylight matters more than many people think. White and ivory look completely different under a shop lamp and by a window, and daylight shows how the wedding gown will look in the photos. Always look at yourself in the dress by the window before you say yes, and take a photo with your phone, because the photo shows what the eye gets used to. Can I see the wedding dress with heels and the train up on a podium?

Yes, and do it, because a wedding dress looks different when it is not pooling on the floor around your feet. Bring the shoes you plan to wear, so you see the right length and not one that is ten centimetres too long. Ask for the train to be laid out, and take a few steps, so you see how it follows you.
